12 Aug. 2021: Going Live

So I’m now live, and here goes, and all that. This is kinda scary but I need a home base, both for business’ sake and to keep my stuff straight. I just uploaded most of my recent work (bless the pandemic and its side effect, free time) and learned more than I wanted to about web pages. WordPress isn’t necessarily hard, but I’m not that tech-savvy. I would rather paint.

At the moment, I churn out about a piece a week (small) or two weeks (larger). The smallest is the Marbles at 3″ square apiece, and the largest is the Galway Derelict at 16″ x 20″. I want to work larger, but I’ll need to speed up to make that happen. I also have to go back to oil painting at some point, although I really like some features of acrylic: dries fast, cleans with water, and most of all doesn’t smell. I need a dedicated space to paint oil and use the fun solvents. Right now it’s all on the dining room table so I can’t really smell up the joint, right next to the kitchen.

So one goal is to start doing some work in oil, and another is to speed up, and dedicate more time to actual work, and get better at this, and maintain a website, and sell some work. Oh, and photographs. That’s next time.
